Eden M. Kennedy has acted impulsively in ways she now regrets.

People say how stuffy the New York Times is, but I beg to differ. I found the story of the guy who cut off his arm with a pocket knife after being pinned under a boulder for five days particularly riveting and filled with gory detail. Even the follow-up story, about the rescuers who hoisted up the boulder, got the severed arm, and took it to a mortuary, is pretty good.
