I kind of hate zoos in general, but on the zoo continuum between "just like the wild!" and "barbarically sterile," the Santa Barbara Zoo is just sort of in the "quaintly cramped" middle. So even though the gorillas are so bored they eat their own poo, at least the weather's always nice. And you can feed a giraffe if you want to.
